Hello! I am an Interdisciplinary Fine Artist and Artist Educator living in the UK; I am also one half of the collaborative drawing duo Ridge & Scrase.
I graduated with a Fine Art degree in 2012 and have exhibited in both the UK and internationally regularly since then. My practice has spanned multiple disciplines through the years, and (although I continue to cross genres) I now consider myself primarily as a painter. My most recent paintings are dynamic abstract works focusing on the use of bold colour and geometric shapes juxtaposed with texture and expressive charcoal overlays. The use of compressed charcoal is heavily featured in my work, influenced by my early studies of abstract drawing and expressionist mark-making.
I am a disabled, neurodivergent artist who identifies as queer and non-binary, which I frequently reflect upon and use as a positive drive within my work. I see myself as an abstract-expressionist and rely heavily on emotion and complex life experiences as an influence for my practice.
Are you looking for a custom piece of art that reflects your personal style and vision? I love to create dynamic and thoughtful artworks that are tailored to you - email me now for ideas!
